WE NEED OFFICERS FOR THIS YEAR!
The MHS PTSA is looking for involved stakeholders to take up a leadership position for next year! We have openings on the entire board and now is a wonderful time to get involved with your child’s school and PTSA! Being an officer on the PTSA isn’t necessarily a huge time commitment, but it makes a world of difference in the lives of our kids! We run several student and teacher recognition programs throughout the year, in addition to hosting bimonthly meetings on topics about our school community! It’s a fun and supportive group, and we need you!

Last Event: MHS Staff vs Manchester Police Department Charity Basketball Game
The MHS PTSA hosted a charity basketball game that pitted the MHS Staff versus the Manchester Police Department. It was a close and exciting game, going into overtime, that saw the MHS Staff win 63-59. Our friendly MPD team is looking forward to a rematch next year!
It’s your PTA too!
Our meetings usually feature guests from the Manchester Public Schools and the Town of Manchester to provide parents, teachers and community members with up to date news about our school community.
There is still plenty of time to join the PTSA and get involved this year. Copies of the enrollment forms are available in the Main Office at MHS or you can email Ryan Jones at email@example.com for a copy.
Next Event: Townwide PTA meeting at MHS There is a FREE all-night party open to graduating seniors the night of graduation. It’s held at MCC and there is no cost to the students for the party! We are in need of Junior/Senior parents who are willing to help set up/stay all night for the party/help clean up the next morning. More information will be available after the graduation date is announced! Please contact Kathleen Weekes for more information.
Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA)
There is a new organization in the Manchester Public Schools PTA family to advocate specifically for special education students and their families, and to provide a forum for sharing ideas and concerns. The group is looking for MHS parents, teachers, staff members, and leaders that are interested in joining. Please contact them directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Parents, teachers, and school leaders working together
The MHS PTSA is a group of involved parents, teachers and other school stakeholders that work to provide programming and other support to school and its students. We are always on the lookout for more parents and teachers to join our group! We usually meet several times a year to plan out activities, programs, fundraisers, and other award programs to benefit our kids.
Student and Teacher Recognition Programs
We also have two ongoing projects – our MHS Essence Awards and our Teacher Mini-Grants – both work to celebrate the great teaching and learning that occurs at MHS each and every day! The Essence Awards (Essence Awards Form) recognizes students that typify scholarship and hard work with a recognition certificate and gift card award. The Teacher Mini-Grants (Teacher Mini-Grant Form) help to fund classroom supplies to allow teachers to create wonderful new lessons and activities for our students.
