Four MHS students from DECA went to a Leadership Conference on Friday, October 26 at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. This is the first year that MHS has taken part and it was one out of 27 schools from throughout the state that attended. The attendees (from left), Heather Bushnell, Jake Garlitz, Marquis Little, and David Keovilay, had the opportunity to personally engage leaders from the community on how they became the leaders they are in today’s society. DECA stands for the Distributive Education Clubs of America, an international association of marketing students interested in business, hospitality, finance, marketing, merchandising, management, and entrepreneurship careers.
