Chess Club Makes Moves At Simsbury Tournament

Five students from the MHS Chess Club traveled to Simsbury on Saturday, March 2 to compete in the Simsbury Open Scholastic Chess Championship.  In a field of 32 players, our players finished in the middle of the field.  Pictured (from left to right standing) are Leanna Moore (Fr.), Roberto Flores (Sr.), Joseph Coyne (So.), Jesus Goyzueta (Sr.) and (from left to right seated) are Ky Tran (Jr.) and Parag Joshi (club adviser).  Any student interested in chess should come to room 293 after school on Fridays for chess club.
