This past weekend was Manchester High School’s annual musical. This year the show was “Kiss Me Kate”. The cast, crew, pit, and anyone else involved did an amazing job. Despite only having two shows instead of three due to snow, spirits were high and there was a lot of energy onstage. Both performances drew a large audience that was not disappointed.

The show featured lively group numbers like “Another Opening” and “Too Darn Hot”. An audience favorite was “I Hate Men”, a number in which the female lead Lilli Vanessi performs as Katherine in the musical version of William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew”. Lilli was played by Maeve Barton whose interview you can find here. (Tim Diebolt, the male lead, was also interviewed which you can find here.)

Manchester resident Emma Fisher said, “I’m really glad I came to see the show. They all did so great.” Her opinion seemed to be the same of many of those in attendance.

“Kiss Me Kate” was definitely one not to miss. The whole MHS community commends the people that put in the hard work to make this happen and eagerly anticipate another year of great plays.
